A Tapestry of Organics
This is a course that takes us through several tangle step outs that layer and fill the white space of a larger substrate with each intentional stroke. There is a lot of repetition in this piece, allowing for that mindfulness and Zentangle magic to find it's way into the process.
Organics swooping and piling on top of each other adding dimension with each new line. This dimension is then enhanced through various shading techniques demonstrated.
We'll be using the basic tools of Zentangle® (fine liner, graphite and blender of your choice) and working on a large scale substrate (8x8). This class is in black and white, but the option is there for you to add your creative colored flair as you see it!
Allow yourself the exploration of this large scale masterpiece and get your frame ready!

I’m Sheila Grube, an artist and Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT 17 and 33) in Pennsylvania. Since earning my certification in 2014 and returning for recertification in 2019, I’ve devoted my studio practice to teaching Zentangle®, with a special love for organic, nature‑inspired tangles. In A Tapestry of Organics, I guide you in growing graceful, organic tangles, one deliberate stroke at a time.
My classes are welcoming, mindful, and community‑centered. Whether I’m working with one student or a full room, I teach with encouragement and clarity, connecting breath, line, and observation so you can trust your hand and find your own voice. I believe anyone can do Zentangle®, and I’m passionate about helping you discover the calm, creativity, and confidence that bloom from the simplest mark.
